It's just the first 2 days of 2 weeks...

Greetings from Southern California!!!

So far so good...I'm super sleepy tonight but here are some highlights of the first few days:
(I am always so glad that someone else is with me and can confirm all the crazyness)

1- 2 men and 1 woman were smoking weed in a parking garage tonight in Santa Monica...and not just passing a joint...this was big time...fire engine red bong (i think that's what the kids call it) it was about 2 feet tall and 6 inches wide...they had no shame and really were too high or stupid or all the above to hide it...how did they know whether or not Renee and I were cops who had just finished a day long sting on the beach?

2- while Renee was teaching summer school this morning i watched Lars and the Real Girl It is just hilarious...make a point to rent it sooner than later.

3- as Renee was peeing for the 47th time tonight i sat outside of mcdonalds and waited for her. people were giving me a funny look or sad smile and i then realized that i was the ONLY one sitting on the ledge not asking for money...one man's friends were beckoning him towards the pier and he refused to go until he got "at least 4 more cheeseburgers out of people...he is tired of stingy people who only give the sandwich and not the fries"

4- as we were chilling at the point dume beach in malibu today there was a woman in some sort of wet suit who was struggling to get her zipper up...renee and i were watching her struggle and talking about how we may have better handled the zipper if it had been our own. Renee wasbusy studying so she encouraged me to be a good social worker and get up to offer assitance...my response "I'm on vacation" Ouch. Sorry mom i know that i was not raised that way.
